We all love adding to our collections, don't we? I have too many to mention! But here are 2 of my favorites...ironstone and old seltzer bottles. I know so many of us love ironstone-it's pretty easy to find, and usually fairly inexpensive. I've gathered mine in a cabinet that my dad made for me using barnwood and an old window/door. I love how grouping together some simple items can make such a statement!
What are some of your favorite collections? I'd love to hear from you!
I'm sharing this at
Knick of Time
Ironstone is probably my all time favorite collection, especially ironstone pitchers. Your ironstone looks great in your charming cupboard.

Mary Alice, thanks so much for your comment and for becoming a follower!! Your blog is amazing! (It looks like we have very similar decorating tastes) Now I am your newest follower! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a collection of glass and silver salt and pepper containers - a recent collection though, because I wanted to display all my glitter in vintage S&Ps. I won't go into all the other crazy collections I have accumulated over the years (ahem *a whole basement full of stuff from a certain science fiction movie series*)
ReplyDeleteYour cabinet looks great; love the green seltzer bottles!
Maureen, I love the idea of glitter in vintage salt and pepper shakers! (I have a basement full of collections, too! That's my next project...)
ReplyDeleteHi Susan! Thanks for coming by Georgie Emerson! Good to connect with you again! Love your ironstone collection......be still my heart!!
ReplyDeleteI have another blog at www.sassafrasstuff.blogspot.com. Swing by there too!
Polly
Thanks, Polly!
ReplyDeleteI collect hands. Some of my students think that is weird, but since I find them, others must collect them too.
ReplyDeleteI love the cabinet your dad made.
Thanks for stopping by! (Did you notice the 'hands' in my cabinet? :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I love your blog! I found you via Knick of Time Tuesday! I love this little cabinet that you've displayed your ironstone and seltzer bottles in. I have many collections as well, one of my favorite and newer collections is the little tomato pin cushions. I have them displayed in my craft studio.

Tania, thank you!
DeleteSusan, I have so many different collections it would be impossible to begin. LOL They didn't start out as collections, but somehow things begin to multiply around here. Your cabinet is wonderful. I like the idea of using an old door or window to make a cabinet. Very clever!
