Happy 2015!

Hi, everyone!

Time is going so fast!  I can't believe that the holidays are already almost over!

As I was reflecting on 2014 I realized that for me it was a year of dramatic highs (having my home featured in a national magazine-Vintage Style- was a dream come true and very exciting) and also extreme lows (my mom being diagnosed with colon cancer was devastating and stretched my faith.)

But through it all God was good!  I'm very grateful for my many blessings, including all of the wonderful friendships and support that I've gained through blog land.

I'm going to be taking a bit of a blogging break, but I wanted to wish you all a prosperous, safe, and healthy New Year!!

My Shop: Home Sweet Home

Hi, everyone!

My mom and I had a wonderfully blessed holiday season at our shop, Home Sweet Home!

We're closed now until next March for our 'winter break', but I realized that I haven't shown you any pictures of the shop all dressed up for the holidays!
With only a couple of days left until Christmas, I figured I better hurry up and do that!

Most of the items in these photos have sold, but I thought I'd show you anyway.  :)

A Special Prayer Request

Hi, everyone!

I know that this is a busy time of year, but I wanted to ask you if you'd please stop for a moment and say a special prayer.

My mom and I have a sweet friend named Debbie...her husband Mike has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

They are close to my age and have 4 children.

We are praying for a miracle.

So many of you stepped up and said heartfelt prayers for my mom when she was going through her bout with colon cancer a few months ago; we were/are so grateful to you!
We saw God at work through those prayers as she recovered from her surgery remarkably fast and is doing fantastic!

Now I ask that you say a prayer for Debbie and Mike... that God will give them and their family His comfort, His peace, and His healing touch through this difficult time.

We know that our God is good and that He is able to handle this!

Thank you all so much!  This blogging world is full of wonderful friendships and support, and I appreciate you!

A 'Noel' Vignette

I hope that you're enjoying this holiday season!

One of my favorite pieces, this sweet little cabinet, is tucked in a small space beside our mantel.

 I dressed it up for Christmas, and thought I'd show you.

I got this small 'Noel' banner last year, and I love it's size and simplicity!

I pinned it with glittery clothespins to the chicken wire in this old window frame hanging over the cabinet.

(I left the French sign that's above the window.)

On a silver tray I placed a couple of tall candlesticks...

...a chippy watering can holding some greenery...

...and a glittery cardinal...

...and there you have it!

A subtle vignette that still says 'Happy Noel.'
