(Thank you to One More Time Events, A Stroll Thru Life, and Lavender Garden Cottage for featuring this post!)
Hi, everyone! Hope you're having a great weekend!
Well, I finally did it...I gave in and succumbed to fall's decorating pull!
As I've mentioned before, I'm a warm-weather kind of gal, and I like to hold on to summer as long as humanly possible. But when I spotted these 3 pumpkins at my friend Lori's shop, well, let's just say that they practically jumped into my arms and begged to be displayed in my home asap!
I just couldn't resist their charm!
I think they're the perfect blend of rustic and bling!
At the flea market a couple of weeks ago I picked up this unusual shabby wooden cart...
...and this pretty lace runner...
I decided to place it underneath the barn wood shelf that's in our living room.
And I think it fits in quite nicely...
Then a couple of days later in an antique mall I found yet another striped suitcase (one of my favorite things to collect!) and I added it to this vignette for a little more interest.
I like the texture and height that it gives.
So...all you die-hard 'fall' fans...aren't you proud of me?
I've put my first fall foot forward!
Baby steps...!! ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by-have a wonderful day!
I'm sharing at these great blogs: i should be mopping the floor
What a darling fall display !!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pumpkins on the suitcase and your stack of them...what a grand collection!

ReplyDeleteLove it...love the suitcase, and the colors together are perfect! You all need to stop it....cuz, I haven't started yet!
ReplyDeleteI love all the collections. Makes me want some pumpkins. Hope your having a great day!
ReplyDeleteYour new pumpkins are darling and you found the perfect spot to put them.
ReplyDeleteThose are really, really cute! I love that one that seems almost sculptured-it is fabric, too, I think? You did a great job of jazzing them up. The whole set up looks awesome- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWOW it looks great. Love the pumpkins, especially with the lovely rhinestone pins on them. The table, lace cloth really set the stage for them. And with the suitcase added - it's terrific. Welcome to Fall.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Mary
those are so adorable. love the bling and those twisty stems!!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful Susan! Yes just like you I too like to hold on to summer as long as possible... :-)

I LOVE your 'fall foot in the door!'
ReplyDeleteThe 3 bling trimmed pumpkins are adorable and I intend to try this myself!
My sisters both collect vintage suitcases so I - of course - had to get a few! Pretty PRETTY fall decor!!!
I am grateful that your post is so inspiring, but even being Sunday, my first reaction was envy. Yes, I know it is a sin, but those darling pumpkins on top of the striped suitcase on top of the wonderfully chippy cart with casters! Heavenly.
ReplyDeleteI love how the suitcase fits perfectly in your charming cart!!! And those pumpkins are so Adorable! Love the bling that's attached.
ReplyDeleteMary Alice
They work so well with your vignette space! I'm so envious of people who have this ability to pull these elements together and create a visual whole. Looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteadorable cuteness, susan!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute Fall vignette with the blingy pumpkins! Still Summer time here,so Fall decor is still on the back burner around my place.
ReplyDeleteThis may be a dup. comment, came by earlier today and typed a comment and it disappeared - may show up eventually. :/
Have a great week.
I am proud of punch Susan! What exactly that saying means, I'm not sure. lol! Love, love the trio of pumpkins! I would have snagged them up too. The suitcase, the lace, and the trio is the perfect combination!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Of course I'm proud of you! Proud of you for creating such a fun display and proud for diving in and buying fall decor...even if it's still summer (I think).
ReplyDeleteVery pretty pumpkins.....!!
ReplyDeleteDaisy~
Susan, this is so you...I can't think of anything you could have put together that would have been more perfect!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI love these and where you put them is perfect. The only problem I see is three is a crowd and you need to send me the cute white one!!!! Ha Ha!!! Love them all so cute for fall. It is still summer here in Chicago but I did start some decor on the inside. Love these pumpkins.
Kris
I wouldn't have been able to resist those pumpkins either, Susan! And since they aren't bright orange, they don't shout FALL! Love the bling...cute, cute, cute. And the suitcase takes your new little cabinet to a whole new level! Love it all! :)
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
What sweet and elegant pumpkins! They are adorable and the colours are perfect for your decor. Hugs, Pam
ReplyDeleteThis is a great vignette, Susan! Love it all. :)

Love your pumpkins and what a great vignette!!! Everything just goes together beautifully. Thanks so much for sharing at One More Time Events....xo Tammy
ReplyDeleteThe vignette couldn't be more perfect...thank you so much for sharing! Does your friend sell the pumpkins online???
ReplyDeleteI haven't done anything fall-ish yet! I adore Autumn, but just haven't had a chance to get many things out yet. Your vignette is gorgeous-a perfect first step into fall.
ReplyDeleteJeanette
Susan, I love these fabulous pumpkins!! If this is the beginning, I cannot wait to see what you come up with next :) xo
ReplyDeleteThose would have jumped into my cart too! Wow, I love the rustic with a little bling added. The colors are perfect and so neutral. I think that often fits nicer in decorating than the bright orange.
ReplyDeleteHappily following you back!
Your pumpkins are just precious! I love their quirky stems. The added bling makes them even better. I haven't done any Fall decorating yet as it still feels very hot here. I'm anxious to as soon as the cooler weather gets here.
ReplyDeleteI love your pumpkins and all your gorgeous goodies. Love that cart too. I wonder how many people have a crocheted runner like that. I have one and some little ones also. As much as I love your bling pumpkins I have to admit I am so envious of your suitcases. I saw the pile in other room, I am green with envy.
ReplyDeleteNever see those in this part of the country, not so far anyway. I need to do some antiquing real soon in some other cities. I live about 20 miles west of Grand Junction, CO. If I can find something it's so over priced my SS budget can't afford it.
Enjoyed you post. Happy week
Love these pumpkins...they are so pretty!! And they are perfect on the cart. Oh my...love, love, love your stack of old suitcases!! My sister says that I should collect them, because they would look really good with my style of decorating...and a fellow blogger told me the same thing. Hmmm...I'm going to a flea market in 2 weeks...just might have to keep my eyes open for some old suitcases.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Cindy
Oh, those pumpkins are perfect...Love them and all of your suitcases...Now, if I could just motivate myself to put my fall foot forward!!!
ReplyDeleteCarol
That looks so beautiful.Love the suitcase-love dee x
ReplyDeleteI put off Fall decorating as long as possible and sometimes skip it...but these are pulling me in too! They are so cute--I adore them!

ReplyDeleteSo tastefully done, Susan - I especially like the far right one pictured, with the gnarly, curly-que stem!
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful Susan - and look perfect on that chippy table!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd under those fantastic shelves.
And in your perfect living room
I'd love to find some of them - but they wouldn't look as gorgeous as they
do right where there are, that's for sure!
XOXO
Am following now! It wouldn't let me yesterday!
