Saturday Spotlight: Pam from Moments Like These

Hi, everyone!  Myself and (Kris) Junk Chic Cottage wanted to do a regular feature on our blogs, something unique that hasn't been
 done before.   So we came up with an idea to 'spotlight the real life behind the blogger' in a more personal way.

There is so much talent and inspiration in blogland, and we thought it would be fun to bring you a closer look at the person behind the blog.

Every week on Saturday we will spotlight a blogger and have them tell us a little bit about themselves and their blogs.  You will be able to see and read about each of the bloggers on both Kris's and my blog. 

Soon after I began blogging I 'met' Pam from Moments Like These.  As I got to know her better and read more of her blog, I was amazed at her positive attitude in spite of her recent losses in life.  She is one of the most thoughtful, encouraging people that I've ever known (and she has a lot of great 'junk', too! :)

So sit back, relax, and enjoy getting to know Pam better!

Thank you Susan for allowing me to share a little about myself for Saturday Spotlight. I started my blog back on April 5th 2009! I can't believe it has been that long. I also can't tell you the joy I have meeting such talented friends through the blogging world. When I started it I had just became a grandma three weeks shy of my 37th birthday! I was big on scrap booking, had worked in two scrapbook stores and wanted to share my life with you all along with having my daily diary. I now scrapbook less and my hobbies have become more into decorating and making crafts for my friends and family.
                                                          Back in the summer of 1986 I met my soon to be husband! We married the following year in 1987!

Hard to see but you can tell we had the 80's hair going on! We went to Hawaii where we spent three weeks after getting married. This is us now 26 years later. Hard to believe how quick time goes by!

 I had my son Noah at 17. I had both my children at home. Everything went well. Having the comforts of home when you're in pain was such a comfort to me! Noah turned 24 in May. We have always been close and I am so very proud of him. He is kind, has such kindness and love for others. This picture below was of him and myself this past March when we attended a wedding in Israel.

My daughter Jordan came in November 1990! She turns 23 this November. She is the one that gave me my first and only grandchild as of yet. We have always been close too! She has also grown up to be a fine young woman with wonderful traits. I am also very proud of her and the mother she has become!

I grew up  in a family of six! My parents had four children and than some eighteen years later had twins. Yes I am a twin, it is the best thing in the world. So growing up my brothers and sisters were raising kids when my parents were raising us. They seemed more like Aunts and Uncles as they had kids our age and we would spend the night with them. It wasn't until we were older and out of the home that we became more close as brothers and sisters. As some of you know we lost both our parents this past year. My mom in January and than my dad 7 wks later in March. We have remained united and strong, but it hasn't been easy.

If it wasn't for my strong faith and relationship with God, I could not of handled this as well as I have. I know God is in control of everything and continues to bless me each and everyday! Now moving right along to my beautiful grandaughter Londyn. She is my everything my world. She will be five Jan 30th. She carries such a calm peace with her each day. She amazes me with her compassion for others, her kindness, love, knowledge, love for animals and nature.

If I could chose not to work, stay home and decorate and blog all day I would. I was a vendor at the local shabby store for just a short few months. I felt sucessful with it and someday hope to make it a full time job. It just wasnt the right timing for it. I have worked as a waitress at the same place Izzy's buffet since 1999 with my twin who has been there for 16 years!  It's fun working together!
