Hi, everyone! Kris from Junk Chic Cottage and I wanted to do a regular feature on our blogs, something unique that hasn't been done before. So we came up with an idea to 'spotlight the real life behind the blogger' in a more personal way.
There is so much talent and inspiration in blogland, and we thought it would be fun to bring you a closer look at the person behind the blog.
Every week on Saturday we will spotlight a blogger and have them tell us a little bit about themselves and their blogs. You will be able to see and read about each of the bloggers on both Kris's and my blog.
My guest today is Julie from Julie's Lifestyle. Julie is a sweetie and on her blog you may find her sharing a favorite recipe, critiquing her latest makeup find, or showing pics of her adorable dog!
Please sit back, relax, and enjoy getting to know Julie better!
Hi everyone, I am so excited that Susan has invited me over to her blog for her Saturday Spotlight Series with Kris from Junk Chic Cottage.
My name is Julie and I blog at Julie's Lifestyle.
I created my blog on November 8, 2012 at the urging of my teenage daughter. I had no idea where to start, so my daughter helped me. Thanks to my lovely daughter I have met such nice blog friends from all over the world.
I am married to my husband for 22 years.
Together we have rescued a dog named Bosco in 2008. He is a corgi/dachshund mix and he is so sweet and lovable. He is so friendly to people and other dogs too.
This is Bosco when we rescued him at 7 months old.
This is Bosco now and he is 6 1/2 years old.
I love cooking food for my family and sharing my recipes with the world.
This is one my family's favorite recipes and I'd love to share it with you too.
I love to crochet, knit, and share the creations that I make. I self taught myself how to crochet after a lady from my crochet group at church tried teaching me two crochet stitches years ago.
Crocheting dishcloths are one of my favorite projects to make.
I crocheted this granny square blanket to donate for our annual Christmas Fair at my church. To see the post you can click HERE.
My Mom and Aunt taught me how to knit in the Summer of 2009. After that, I took two knitting classes at the Lion Brand Yarn Studio in New York City. Here is one of my creations that I'd love to share with you.
On January 6th, I started sharing my love of makeup on my blog. Each Monday I post about a different perfume, makeup, hair product, or nail polish.
I hope you got to know me a little better and I would love to have you stop by and visit my blog Julie's Lifestyle.
Thank you Susan for inviting me to be your Spotlight Saturday.

Love your post Julie. =) I have a corgi/dachshund mix too! We adopted her from a rescue shelter. She thinks everyone is her friend. She is the inspiration for my corgi paintings. Your Bosco looks like such a sweetie. =) Love all of your crochet projects too.

DeleteHi Julie and thanks Susan for spotlighting Julie. You had me at the adorable face of your rescued fur kid. I always rescue our fur ones, wonderful feeling bringing them into their "forever home". I love crochet dishcloths! I use white so I can throw a tiny bit of bleach in the washer when needed. Your hand work looks stunning. Oh and makeup Mondays's? I'll so be there!

ReplyDeleteHi Julie, it's nice to get to know you here on Susan's blog. I love those crocheted dish cloths- they're all I use since finding some at an estate sale! With scarves always in style I'll bet you & your daughter are never without the perfect color for an outfit. What a useful past time! I enjoyed reading about you. Thanks, Susan, for the intro.
