Country Living Fair 2015

Hi, everyone!

I know, it's been awhile since I've posted!  Since I just got back from the Country Living Fair in Columbus, I figured it would be a perfect time to check in, and show you some eye candy!

In case you're new to my blog, or just to refresh your memory, every year I travel to Columbus (about 2 hours from my home) and spend 2 days with my lifelong (well, almost-43 years) friend Suzanne on what we call our 'Shopping Extravaganza'!

We hit tons of shops on the first day (and I'm talking morning to night shopping!) then I spend the night at her house, and the next day we spend all day at the Country Living Fair.

Here is the line at approximately 7:30 in the morning.  It wraps all the way around to where we were standing.  And we're all the die-hards, who bought 'early bird' passes!
As you can see, it was a gorgeous day!

Here we are, eager to get in and start shopping!!
(I'm the blonde, in case you don't know :)

This event is truly an inspiration, and a feast for the eyes! The creativity and beauty that these vendors from all over the country create is awe-inspiring!

So let's get to the good stuff!

One of our very favorite booths every year...

Another one of my favorite booths...SO gorgeous!!

This beauty was sold by the time I got to her...she was about 3 feet tall with perfect patina!

So sweet...

This vendor's display was just stunning!

I can never get enough of white pumpkins-love them!

This clock was amazing!

I adored this huge cubby!

And this old green one was super cool, too!

LOVE this huge chicken nester...wish I had a spot for it!

This cow head was HUGE, and so fun!!

I love these pretty rosemary plants gathered in a vintage basket!

Another jaw-dropping display!

Such vibrant, colorful pumpkins!

This little girl was so adorable standing on the back of this old pickup that I had to capture it! :)

Well, I could've taken a million more photos, but I was too busy drooling (and also buying a few goodies!)

I hope that you enjoyed this glimpse of the Country Living Fair...til next time, have a wonderful day!  :)

  2. Good to hear from you, Susan, and glad you made it to the CL fair again. Do tell, what did you haul home??? Btw, not sure if you knew or not, but Fiesta also did their first traveling tent sale at the expo center in Columbus, concurrent with this fair. That's an experience, hahaha. (They do sell ivory Fiesta). ;)

  27. I wish I had gone to The Country Living Fair, but I went to the Flea Market Extravaganza at the Springfield Fairgounds and it was not as good this year. I think the bad weather on Saturday caused vendors to have to pack up and leave. I love all the photos that you shared...everything looks so awesome at this show.

  33. Where does one start other then my kind of event shopping, such wonderful brocante, and all the white pumpkins wow their booths. That clock you loved? WHO wouldn't have? I would have had to have found a way to get that home to me, perfect tone to the wood for my home.

I hope you were able to inspire your home with plenty, or enough inspiration adding a watchful eye for future pieces locally.

This was a great sharing, a envious one to booth, you and your friend had the best time I am so sure of that from the looks of what you were tempted with.

  39. Oh you're killing me,all those photos of Country Living Fair. If we still lived in KY, around Bowling Green, would be able to go to both Fairs. Have you been since 2015? Am terribly envious as attending just one Fair would make me happy, (no to be honest, once I went would want to go again and again).
Now we live in western CO close to Grand Junction. I miss all the great vintage shopping in KY and our property/house.
Have fin for all of us who can't attend.

  40. I just discovered your blog, loving everything I'm seeing!!!, one question, I was looking at the post about your dining room, which showed a picture, (very last one) from your entry area, looking into the dining room. You have a rack with rows of hooks by the front door. Do you remember where you found this, I'm hoping it's not a one of a kind find. I have been looking for something similar for the longest time, living in Southern California, really unique and wonderful vintage prices are hard to find. I wish just once country living would come to the west coast!,
