The Last of the Sunroom Tour

Good morning, everyone!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Today I'm showing you the last of my sunroom.

This is the 'comfy chair' that Keith uses when we're out here.  (I had the slipcover made for it last year.)

On the one side of the chair is this old chippy wood and enamel topped table.

I placed a large birdcage and watering can on top of it...

...and my no. 3 army trunk underneath it...

...and my large Mother Mary statue beside it.  (She was the catalyst to add touches of blue to this room!)

On the other side of the chair is this little bookcase.

It fits the narrow space perfectly.

I've topped it and filled it with some of my favorite things...

...like ironstone tureens, an old shabby lunch box, and this adorable cherub statue that my mom recently gifted me with!

Above it I hung a chippy vintage frame...

So, there you have it!  Now you've seen all of my updated vintage sunroom!

To refresh your memory, or in case you missed it, here's the rest:

I showed you this area here...

And this area here...

I hope that you enjoyed the little tour!

Thanks for stopping, and have a wonderful day!  :)

More Of My Vintage Sunroom

Hi, everyone!

I thought I'd start this week by continuing with my sunroom tour.

Last time, here,  I showed you this little primitive table beside the couch.

We use this cool old factory cart as our coffee table.
(Keith surprised me and stenciled my favorite number on it one weekend when I was out of town!)

On the top I gathered a few of my favorite things.

Most days throughout the warmer months, you'll find me reading or napping on this couch!

I  piled on a mix of pillows-some vintage, some made by friends out of vintage feed sacks.

These vintage lockers in the corner are great storage for my hoards of magazines!

I topped the lockers with a few goodies.

So, there's another section of our well-used sunroom...

I have one more area in this room that I'll show you next time!

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a wonderful day!  :)

A Boy, A Girl, and a Flower

Hi, everyone!

This post is a short and sweet story.

Girl ADORES hydrangeas.

Boy takes girl in back yard to show her something; she gasps at a small plant showcasing one gorgeous pink hydrangea bloom...

Girl is extremely happy that boy has surprised her by buying and planting her favorite flower!

Who knew that a simple, single bloom could bring her so much joy?!
He did!  :)

The end.

Have a blessed day!

(p.s.  Girl does NOT have a green thumb, so hopefully boy can ensure that this lovely plant will survive!)

Updated Sun Room

Hi, everyone!

I thought I'd pop in and show you a few pics of my updated sunroom.

This is our favorite room throughout the warmer months of the year!  We spend a lot of time out here...enjoying our morning coffee, reading, taking naps, etc.

I found this old primitive table at a sale for $8.00.  It was literally in pieces, but all the parts were there.  I fell in love with the soft green color and chippy patina, and I knew that my dad could work his magic and put it back together for me.

Sure enough he did, and I love it!  It has a new home beside our settee, with an old blue shutter propped behind it.

I sold the 2 iron chairs that were extra seating on the other side of the room, and replaced them when I found these fun vintage wicker rockers at a local shop.

I love their 'farmhouse' vibe!

(I was in the process of stuffing grain sacks with a cushion for the seats when Bo decided he was going to take over one of the chairs for nap time!)

Instead of using a tradition table between the chairs, I stacked 2 wooden boxes for more interest.

I topped them with a lamp made out of a chippy wooden salvaged piece (from a garage sale) and some other goodies.

On the wall adjacent to the chairs I leaned an old door that a neighbor gave us, and placed a small flea market table in front of it.

I draped a grain sack over the door to lighten it up a bit...

...then topped the table with some of my favorite things.

Well, hope that you enjoyed this peek at my sunroom!

I'll be back to show you more soon...have a wonderful day!  :)
