Happy New Year, everyone! It feels like it's been forever since I've posted, but it's been a crazy week and a half! Between having an altercation with our neighbors (on Christmas Eve, no less-not a holiday tradition that I would recommend! Do any of you have crazy neighbors?), both my parents being deathly sick with a nasty flu bug (poor things! I'm praying that we don't get it), and the weather being so bad that I could barely stay on the roads on my way to the shop over the weekend (I HATE driving in the snow and ice!), I've been a little stressed out the last week of 2012! But Keith was off, and we still managed to have some fun, and even get a project or two done (which I'll be sharing soon.)
This is my mantra for 2013- "Think good thoughts" :)
For the most part, 2012 was an exciting year for me, especially the last half, as I began my blogging journey. I'm so happy to have become part of this great 'network' where peeps get me and my decor, and where I've made so many wonderful blogging friends! I'm officially wishing you a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year! May this be our best year ever!
Happy New Year to you!

It sounds as if your year ended with a bang - here's wishing a much better start to 2013.

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you! I am just getting over that awful flu, so I hope your parents feel better soon. One of the wonderful things that happened to us in 2012 was that our crazy neighbors divorced and moved away! The whole street celebrated. LOL Maybe yours will go away in 2013?

Ha ha - I actually DID notice you hadn't posted in awhile. ("Hmmmm. Must Love Junk hasn't posted in bit...") I missed you! Hope your parents feel well soon. We've all been sick at our home, too.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, sweet friend!
Hugs,

Oh, I can relate, Susan! We have a neighbor (it's only the wife)who's a piece of work. Makes it kind of difficult to feel comfortable at home or in the yard, honestly. And your folks are battling that flu? If they get too bad, make sure they give them bags of fluid at the doctor or ER. Our son has leukemia and even with his suppressed immune system, he gets over viruses way faster than most because they pump him full of fluids...think it flushes the germs right out! Hope your new year, new month is a better one for you and the family.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that you've been having bad things happen around you. I love your mantra though. I try to do that myself. Thinking good thoughts certainly helps sometimes. I have had my share of bad neighbors in the past, but luckily they moved! Best sight I ever saw was a moving truck being filled with their things. LOL! Sorry that your parents have the icky flu too. I always get a flu shot just to be safe. So far, so good. Wishing you a wonderful new year and hope you stay well!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the crazy neighbor spat, but glad you're back!
ReplyDeleteI need to adopt that mantra...!!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your spat with the neighbours and your parent's illness. I hope everything is back to normal by now!
I would love you to follow me back...I am dying to get up to 50 followers (sigh)
Wishing you joy, peace and happiness in 2013 and keep those posts rolling. I love your decor style!
