Saturday Spotlight: Kelly from Eclectically Vintage

Hi, everyone! Myself and (Kris) Junk Chic Cottage wanted to do a regular feature on our blogs, something unique that hasn't been
done before.   So we came up with an idea to 'spotlight the real life behind the blogger' in a more personal way.
There is so much talent and inspiration in blogland, and we thought it would be fun to bring you a closer look at the person behind the blog.

Every week on Saturday we will spotlight a blogger and have them tell us a little bit about themselves and their blogs.  You will be able to see and read about each of the bloggers on both Kris's and my blog.

Today my guest is Kelly from Eclectically Vintage.  Kelly and I are kindred spirits-we share a love of good vintage junk!
Her blog and her style are very inspiring!  She was one of the first bloggers to find me and feature me on her Home Tour series and I'll always be grateful for that.
Please sit back, relax, and enjoy getting to know Kelly better!

Hi Must Love Junkers. I'm Kelly of Eclectically Vintage and some of the things I heart are ... thrift shops, tarnished silver, margaritas, curbside finds, a great sense of humor and bacon!   I was born in NY, grew up in PA, spent a few years in OH and live in NJ with my hubby and identical twin girls. I'm nothing like Snooki in case you were wondering - here's photographic evidence. Kelly-Family Of course I love all things vintage but that wasn't always the case. I used to think new was better and donated to thrift shops but never thought of shopping there.   During a four year stint in Ohio, I started going to flea markets and it was love at first vintage sighting. All of these crusty old things moved in and my new stuff was soon moving out.

Then the best thing happened! We moved back to NJ and bought a 100 year old house that needed a complete renovation (my hubby called it a crack house)! That threw my vintage love into overdrive.   All of my collections now have a happy home ... From an eclectic plate wall and demijohns in my dining room ...

to typewriters, seltzer bottles and ice buckets in my family room ...

to thrift store green glass in my foyer ...

to my favorite place to relax on my patio with a margarita.

This is where the magic really happens - my kitchen! My family loves to cook ... and eat!
Our red stove gets plenty of action - you'll probably find a big pot of red sauce bubbling away and we love rolling out dough on the marble island, then grilling up some amazing pesto, arugula and prosciutto pizzas.

  8. Beautiful home! I love your kitchen.

We just bought a century old home ourselves and are moving in a couple of months (although it doesn't need a full renovation, a lot of it has already been done.)
