Hi, everyone!
My sweet hubby came in the other day with a small bouquet for me. He had been tending our gorgeous Rose of Sharon bush (he's the 'gardener' in the family) and thought that I would enjoy a little bunch inside!
A friend of mine recently had a couple of girlfriends over for an outdoor lunch. She had these cute little green bottles at each place setting filled with ginger iced tea and a name tag hung around each one, and told us to take them home as a gift. Adorable! I wish I had some photos, but we were having so much fun eating and gabbing that I didn't think to stop and take pictures!
Anyway, I remembered the bottle and thought that it would make a sweet vase for the flowers. I placed the arrangement on my whisky barrel lid that's on my dining room buffet, alongside some other favorite items.
Keith and I took a little weekend trip to a nearby town about a month ago, and one of my favorite shops was having a huge sale. I scored this cool German crate at half price!
I've seen these before online and always loved them.
My collection of green seltzer bottles fits inside quite nicely!
I think the bottles and crate make a nice pairing with the wooden lid.
I'm loving my new dining room vignette...I'll enjoy my fresh flowers while they last! :)
Thanks for stopping by! Have a fantastic holiday weekend!
(And don't forget you still have a few days to get in on my giveaway for the digital Inspiration Vintage Magazine! Go here to enter :)

What a great party gift! I love bottles and yours looks so cute with the flowers your sweet husband brought you. As always, I am crazy for your seltzer bottles, so cool!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovely!!! I love fresh flowers. We have a rose garden in the park near out house and when they are blooming I always pick a few. I admit I don't have a green thumb (and neither does my husband) so we don't have any flowers in our yard LOL Happy Labor Day Weekend!
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteYour buffet vignette rocks! Loving and lusting for the German wooden crate. Your collection of green seltzer bottles look amazing in it. Your sweet flowers your hubby picked are precious in the little green bottle from your luncheon with friends. So I'll confess I've been enlarging the pictures in this post to check out your amazing chandelier and wooden bowl on the DR table. Great whiskey lid, rustic woods always add a warmth in texture as you perfectly display your treasures.
Happy holiday weekend,
XO,
Vera

I love your new find and what a great set of seltzer bottles! Your flowers are beautiful, I'm hoping to get something green around here once the weather cools off a bit. I think I have a fairly 'brown' thumb, especially in the summer in the desert! Hoping that fall, whenever it gets here, will offer a bit more green and pretty around the place. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, how sweet to receive the bottle from your friends party! It looks perfect from the flowers your husband gave you from the garden. I love everything you are showing us today too. Take crd and enjoy your week.

Love the seltzer bottles and new gorgeous crate! Your hubby was so sweet to give you flowers, Just a question, but did he want anything in return if you know what I mean? LOL I love your vignettes and do enjoy creating them, but I'm not doing fall till later I don't like rushing seasons, it's like never being in the moment. Hope you having a great holiday!

ReplyDeleteThis is all so pretty, Susan! Your flowers are lovely in the bottle and I love the crate of bottles, too!
ReplyDeleteSweet find, sweet husband! Love the way your bottles look inside the crate, too. : )
ReplyDeleteI'm running late on everything this week, but I had to stop by and tell you that this tabletop design is one of my all time favorites from all blogs and magazines. There is something so real about it. It looks like someone just set the bottles of seltzer water down decades ago and that is my favorite look and feel. The whiskey barrel lid used for tray was a wonderful design idea. Everything appears natural. I think this is a really beautiful grouping. I've never noticed before that you have different style vintage chairs painted in the same pretty white. I think that would realistically happen in a house. I think this is really nice. It all has such a good feel about it.
ReplyDeleteSusan, the colors in your home are just STUNNING! Do you have a post where you talk about which paint colors you use? I MUST get painting ASAP! xo Jen
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet and good man you have there! And that German crate is a perfect find. Sounds all wonderful! Happy week!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, The seltzer bottles are beautiful and the crate was a lovely find. I should have one but I don't. Probably because I don't drink German wine, lol.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Julia
