Tucson Eye Candy

Hi, all my sweet blogging friends!

Wow, it's been awhile!  How has your 2015 been going so far?

My parents, hubby, and I spent a good portion of January in Tucson (just in time to escape the brutal winter that we're having in Ohio!) so I thought I'd share some pics from some of our shopping excursions.

One of the owners from this beautiful shop Grey House Antiques and Home Decor had somehow found my blog and she invited me to come visit when I was in town.  Her shop didn't disappoint!

This place, Copper Country Antiques, was a HUGE antique mall.  These are some of the booths that caught my eye.

I've been wanting to get a really big scale, and this cool one almost came home with me!  While I liked it a lot, it still wasn't exactly what I'm looking for so I decided to hold out for the perfect one.  Hopefully I'll find it soon!

This next place is a phenomenal monthly sale called Gather A Vintage Market.

If you live in the Tucson area, I'd highly recommend it!  Their displays are inspiring!

This shop had some fun things, but I can't recall their name.  (They weren't very nice, either...just being honest!)

This shop, The Lion's Gate, on the other hand had the sweetest and friendliest owner!

Her place was filled with stunning chandeliers and elegant goods.

We hit many other places that I didn't get pictures from, including a fun outdoor flea market,
and we managed to bring back quite a few things from our Tucson shopping trips!

Most of the items will be in our shop (when we reopen in March) but of course I got some goodies to keep, too!
(Maybe I'll share them in another post :)

I hope you enjoyed a glimpse of Tucson's eye candy!

Until next time...blessings!

  1. Susan! Welcome home to the land of barren and bitter cold! I was so jelly when I learned (from Kris) that you were spending January in AZ! I was happy with clearing the clutter the first half of Jan, then was sick the second half (bleh). These pictures are great! Those chandeliers and what looks like a carousel horse - tdf! And that galvanized bathtub thingy from the no-so-nice-shopkeepers (why can't people just be nice??). Can't wait to see what you brought home...and HOW you brought it home. Welcome back, you were missed. And Happy Anniversary to you & Keith.

  5. Welcome back Susan! Spending time with your parents and Keith must of been soul enriching. So nice to hear that you were able to enjoy a winter escape and have much deserved relaxation. Eye candy indeed, I want, I want, I want is what I was thinking looking at all the photos. But what impressed me the most was the merchandise display let the eye absorb and appreciate without a cluttered effect.

  6. What beautiful objects and styling at those shops. I loved the green car/truck hood hanging on the wall. I have no idea what I would do with it, but it sure would be fun!

  14. Those Tucson shops look to have the cream of the crop and fabulous decorators to boot. I see all sorts of ideas that would be great to incorporate displaying vintage things for home and retail. I love umbrellas so I particularly like the way two were displayed with a figure. There is a great mix of moderne put in with things from other eras. The shops looked bright and cheerful. Thank you for the sweet tour. ~ Ginene

  20. Gorgeous shop. Love those green doors, birdcage and the metal buckets hanging on the wall. Store owners not being very nice always makes me wonder. Why are they in this business? Having a bad day I understand things happen but have someone else deal with customers that day.

  27. Oh my dear, why was this shop not there when I lived on the south rim and would make day trips to Tucson with family to get in some shopping.
This shop is amazing and almost makes me want to plan a trip around this shop!
I have to look into this shop much closer.

I am in love with the picker vibe, salvage goods, and gathered and collected pieces of rustic. How could you have not left without a truck load of shop goods :)

Thanks for ruining my day....Ooop's! I meant making my day, lol .... wishing it was a shop in town I could frequently run on over to! :)

Inspiring post and will look them up.
