Super Simple Summer Mantel 2015

Hi, everyone!
Hope you had a great weekend!

I thought I'd share my current mantel vignette with you.

I wanted to keep it simple, light, and airy.

Just an old window...

...some candles...

...and a grapevine wreath...

Super simple!

Of course I left up my burlap and rhinestone banner.

On the hearth are 2 new finds.

I love old architectural salvage pieces; this chippy column caught my eye at a local antique shop!

I topped it with an ironstone pitcher filled with dried lavender.

This vintage wicker basket was at the flea, and had to come home with me, too!

It's perfect for holding some of my favorite mags, and a pillow made by a friend.

So there you have it!

My summer mantel, and 2 new found treasures!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a fabulous day!  :)

  10. Sweet and pretty. Makes me want to go paint something white…always.

  13. I love it... so simple and beautiful ♥ Alexandra

  14. Stunning Susan, love the window and there are no words for the pillar

  15. The window with its gothic design is so lovely and like a cross between a church window and a cottage window. I wonder how the small chain was used. This window may not be from Great Britain, but I have read that we have so many stained glass windows in the USA partially because they were removed from houses in England when the government imposed a window tax. I know I've bought them from England. Can you imagine a window tax?

  16. Chippy, neutral and white -perfect! Very pretty. I have a tall chippy column in our living room that just sits there. You have me wondering if it would look good with a pitcher or small plant on it. Hmm.

I love hearing from you!
