I'm Cow Crazy

Hi, everyone!  I'm usually not too 'trendy' in my decor, but sometimes something will keep cropping up in blog land or on Pinterest, and it really grabs me.  Well, I've been seeing a lot of cows (and any farm animal, really) everywhere, and I'm lovin' them!  So I've officially joined the cow craze! ;)

It seems that whenever I decide that I want a certain item, all of a sudden I see it everywhere when I'm shopping...does that happen to you?  So in the last couple of weeks, I've purchased several cow things.  I found this canvas print at a local antique store, and I love the muted color tones.

For now he's residing in my dining room.  This next little guy was too cute to pass up!

Isn't he adorable? It's just a little ceramic head with a hole in the back for hanging!

He's really too small for this space beside my barn wood cabinet (also in my dining room) but I was just trying different areas to see where I like him best. I haven't decided yet.

This next guy just straight up makes me laugh!

Our cat Cole (who I recently posted about here) walks around with his tongue sticking out a lot, so Keith and I were amused by this picture. (FYI, Cole's eye is nothing serious, thank God! He's on eye drops twice a day to try and clear up the inflammation though, so he's not liking me very much right now!)

Sorry to digress from cow to cat...but I hung this picture in the upstairs bathroom that Keith uses.  He can enjoy it when he's getting ready in the morning.

I found one more cow piece, but I'm saving that for later, until I find the perfect spot for it.  How 'bout you?  Have you joined the cow craze yet?
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

  9. I love cows! I really love the cow head! If you wanted to leave it in that spot you could hang some plates around it. That would help make up for it being a little too small for the space!

  11. Well...you do have some sweet cows there. Would you say you have Cow Mad disease (a little play on the Mad Cow disease)? lol I love your cows. That white china one you have? I had one similar to it that I had on my kitchen wall by my sink and I kept a towel draped over its neck. When we sold the house the lady asked me if I would leave the cow....so I did....xo Diana

Your kitty really makes me crack up with her tongue poking out! :)

  19. I love cow pictures! The one you found at an antique mkt. is a beauty! The trouble I have, though, is that I'm running out of wallspace. I hate it when that happens!

  22. My husband is an artist and one of the artists he often showed with was ( he passed away) into cows. My husband did a little tribute to him and did a cow painting and to our surprise it sold right away. The woman who purchased it said it reminded her of her father and his Texas ranch.

    Have fun with your cows!

  26. So cute! It suits your home perfectly!

We have had a roosters and a quails for ages, and my daughter has always been into rabbits (Alice in Wonderland) and Foxes (Fantastic Mr. Fox). Fox is kind of mischievous on my daughter's part considering he could eat all the small animals she likes.

  37. Hi Susan, I loved that first cow. Not sure why, he just MOOved me. lol! I am not in the cow craze but the sheep one has hit me. I usually run across things that I am looking for also. This time not happening with the sheep. I want a couple of primitive ones to put on top of a cabinet in the basement. Also want a picture. There is a UT artist that does awesome sheep pics. but everyone says out of stock. Check her out (Joan Durfey) who knows, she may have cows. She lives in a quaint little artsy town called Spring City. Gotta love those animals. BTW, the cats tongue hanging out is too cute! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
