Sleepy in the Sunroom

(Thank you to Lavender Garden Cottage for featuring this post!)
Hi, everyone!  I hope that you've entered my blogiversary giveaway (you can win 4 great prizes!)  If not, there's still time!  Just go here-it's quick and easy to enter.
Last week I showed you the one side of my sunroom here that I've recently freshened up for spring. (Btw, Debra at Common Ground just graciously featured that post!)

Now here's the other side of the room...this couch is such a perfect spot for reading or a taking a nap.

This factory cart is the real deal-and it's extra special because it came out of the company that my dad worked at for 40+ years!

We wanted more privacy from a close neighbor, so these room dividers/screens are my solution.

One of my favorite finds is this old set of lockers-a portion of my huge collection of decor magazines are stashed away in here!

At the front of the room is some extra seating, along with a heavy wooden drawer unit.

I just added this tray and some goodies to the top.

Well, it looks like I'm not the only one that enjoys taking a 'catnap' in this room! :)

Until next time...have a fantastic day!

  7. Hi Susan,
I love your sunroom and I see that your sweet kitties do too! Love, love, love that wooden drawer unit...I have a thing for any cabinet or cupboard of any size that has lots of drawers. I have my hubby's grandfather's jewelers cupboard in our living room and I keep craft supplies in it...and on top of it, I have another small 4 drawer unit. They are my favorite pieces. Going to a huge flea market here in town tomorrow...wonder if I will find any drawer units that will have to come home with me.
    Have a great weekend.
    hugs,
    Cindy

  26. What a beautiful room! I am so in love with that factory cart! It is so cool that it came from the factory where your dad worked! I really adore the other furniture pieces too. The lockers have the neatest paint combo and don't even get me started on how fabulous the cabinet with all the drawers is!

  29. I have a screened porch that I would love to give more character to! My problem is that since it is exposed to the elements (rain blows in through the screen) so many pieces would get ruined. I'm about readyh to ditch the entire thing and start from scratch and hope to achieve something similar to your charming sunroom! I think I'll start scouring the yard sales using your room as inspiration! Hugs, Leena

  30. There is nothing there that I don't love. And, I could find a place for almost all of it in my house. I think I need to go out shopping with you because you have the greatest finds.

  32. Your sunroom is indeed a wonderful place to take a nap. Even your cats love to hang out there! I also find your items interesting. I like the vintage ones, especially the lockers and the wooden drawer unit. They give the room a unique and feisty appeal.

  33. What make your sunroom truly fascinating? It's the vintage items you have there! For me, the factory cart stood out the most. Imagine, 40 years and it's still existing. And it now has a new purpose – a wonderful fixture to your sunroom. Tell me, do you have a new addition of classics in this room? You should keep collecting old things, as they certainly add character to your room.

  34. Your cozy sunroom gives you a chance to experience the summer heat without leaving the house. Since winter is fast approaching, taking a nap at your comfortable is one of the best things to do. Hehe! I would spend most of my days relaxing in this place if I had a porch like this.
