(Thank you to Revisionary Life for featuring this post!)
I was out shopping with my mom recently when we spotted this fun chair. I had to have it!
I love everything about it...the chippy paint, the stenciled bee on burlap, and the checked print.
I brought it into the house, and while trying to decide where to put it, someone wasted no time in taking it over! (Bob)
When I finally chose a spot for it to 'land' (at least for now) someone else immediately took it over! (Bo)
I guess it's been approved as a pretty comfy chair! :)
I've been changing things up a bit, and this is an area that has been recently 'freshened'...it's part of our living room and part of our front hallway. Kind of confusing, I know, until you see it.
The first of my changes was bringing this ladder draped with vintage linens down from our master bedroom.
I then hung my new set of antlers above it.
Then I brought over the drop leaf table that was is the center of the hallway.
I kept the birdcage here but added the topiary in a bucket...
...and placed this basket underneath the table...
I thought my new chair would be a welcome addition, so I tucked it into the corner...
...and I think it complements the ensemble nicely!
Now I just wonder if I'll ever have a chance to sit in this cute chair...?
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day :)

ReplyDeleteLove this post. I hear about you sometimes from Donna...and love your yellow house. Actually, I have decided two houses is a pretty good idea! Heaven knows I have enough small things for them...Revi
Your cats have a way of making that chair look extra comfortable now! It's so pretty. I really like the combo of the printed burlap and the small check. I love extra chairs like that.
ReplyDeleteLove your darling chair! I have a feeling it will travel around your home from time to time...just the right size and style to fit in all kinds of places. Your rusty birdcage is a favorite of mine. Love the stack of books inside. And I like the way that drop-leaf table shows off those very cool legs!

ReplyDeleteSo lovely! And obviously the cat approves too :) Love the ladder with grain sacks - I have a ladder I want to do this with sometime - when I finally have my own collection of grain sacks that I'm going to keep for myself instead of repurposing and reselling!
ReplyDeleteI love the chair and the burlap stencil on the back and check on the seat, really love the color, and you Bo just blends right in! What cute guy he is! I think you might have a hard time getting to sit on that chair cause I think Bo has claimed it as his! I also love the books in the birdcage what a clever idea, but then you do rank high in cleverness! If Bo ever leaves that chair you could send it my way!
ReplyDeleteI love that chair! I can't believe you found it that way and don't have to do a thing with it! Gorgeous! Love the drop-leaf table too! The finish is beautiful and the turned legs have so much character! Thanks for sharing! Hugs, Leena

ReplyDeleteHi Susan, The chair is adorable and your chair testers are super cute. It looks like they gave 5 out of 5 stars. You couldn't have kept the chair, if they both hadn't approved, lol. The table and the ladder are wonderful and I also love the basket and the birdcage.
ReplyDeleteJulia
Gorgeous chair... But it does look like Bob has claimed it or himself...he's not going to let you try that one out...Bless him.. He has fabulous taste just like his mum...Hugs May x x
