Happy November, everyone!
Thank you for your well-wishes regarding my back! It is slowly but surely feeling better.
Last time I showed you some changes that I made to our office, including restyling the top of this dresser, and adding the 2 chairs. To see more of that post, go here.
Now I'll show you the rest of the room.
Farther down from the seating area are the other built-in bookshelves.
This doorway leads to a little hall with our half bath, then to the kitchen.
I always have fun restyling these shelves!
Some new goodies include the long wooden box that I got at the Country Living Fair (you can read about it here) and the huge nest that I just got on our Chicago trip (which you can read about here.)
On the opposite wall is a big, old, painted table that we use as our computer desk. I scored this piece many years ago for $4.00 at an auction!
I added a few things to 'pretty up' the desk, including a fun architectural lamp that I recently got at a garage sale and an enamel pitcher filled with flowers.
A friend was getting rid of this wicker chair, so I brought it in to replace our more traditional desk chair.
Then I gathered more of my favorite things to arrange on these shelves.
I use baskets and old pharmacy boxes for hidden storage.
I got this old divided wooden box and the cotton stems on my Columbus trip.
Here's the last corner of the office. Yes, these bookshelves actually hold books!
This is showing just a portion of my decorating book addiction. :)
I have old locker baskets across the top shelves for interest.
Beside the column in the corner, I stacked 2 wooden boxes under my giant no. 3...
...then added my Santos doll and the shabby lunchbox I got in Chicago.
Here's the view from the office toward the front hall. (Do you spot the little photo bomber?)
Well, now you've seen the whole office, and its changes.
I hope that you enjoyed it!
Next up, my completely changed, new living room reveal!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day :)
What a great space!
