Sweet Sweet Salvage

One of the great things about visiting my sister in Arizona (I posted about my vaca here) is hitting the Sweet Salvage Sale in Phoenix.  (Although we're visiting Tucson, we make the trip to Phoenix for this sale-I actually coordinate our yearly vacation with this once a month sale...yes, it's THAT good! :)

Last year was my first experience with this sale, which I posted about here.  This year didn't disappoint, either.  I left with my head spinning from all of the great eye candy and inspirational displays!

Here's what the line looked like when I joined it...it was much longer behind me by the time the doors opened!

I'm sorry some of the pics are a little blurry.  My assistant/hubby took the pics with his phone, trying to avoid throngs of shopping-crazed women!  Thanks for being a trooper, Keith!

Fair warning...tons of pictures ahead!

This huge architectural piece hung above the checkout desk...amazing!

This baby would've been coming home with me had I been local...I've been looking for a white or cream colored drawer unit!

Check out this humongous wire birdcage...sigh!

I was drooling over this.  I've never seen a carrier this long, and I love the faded numbers on it!

This fabulous old cart sold quickly...not surprising!

Gotta love a little industrial vibe!  This reminds me of the lockers in my sun room.

Ok, I'll just let the rest of the pics speak for themselves...

I don't know who these little ones are, but aren't they adorable?

Now you know why I don't wanna miss this sale when I'm in town!   Do these dealers know how to do salvage, or what?

I'll be back soon to show you what I brought home. (I know, I'm such a tease :)

Thanks for stopping by-enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  5. For shopkeepers it is perfect. It's priced to sell. It has a lot of variety and great prices. I think if you are on their list, once in awhile, they send out an early viewing for Wednesday evening with a reservation. Maybe it would be less crazy.

If I had known I would of sent you the names of my favorite shops.

  6. oh my gosh - such great stuff and such great displays! I especially like that shelving unit with the horse on top - did you see those cameras on the silver candlesticks? I really want one of those flat file chests for my beaded purses too...someday.....my head would be spinning in a place like that!

  7. My gosh...all that great stuff in one place! My sister lives in Phoenix but she is not a antique/vintage gal which is too bad!
My sister used to live in Tuscon...pretty as well we used to get the best frozen ices/lemonade.

  15. Thanks for sharing your trip. Sounds like you have a fun time and what a pretty place to stay.
Lots of eye candy - especially like that cabinet(?) with the shallow drawers. Would be a wonderful place to store jewelry supplies. Have seen similar pieces around, but prices were out of site.
    Have a great week.
