Hi, everyone! Kris from Junk Chic Cottage and I wanted to do a regular feature on our blogs, something unique that hasn't been done before. So we came up with an idea to 'spotlight the real life behind the blogger' in a more personal way.
There is so much talent and inspiration in blogland, and we thought it would be fun to bring you a closer look at the person behind the blog.
Every week on Saturday we will spotlight a blogger and have them tell us a little bit about themselves and their blogs. You will be able to see and read about each of the bloggers on both Kris's and my blog.
Today please help me welcome Deb from Garage Sale Gal. Oh, I gal after my own heart! Deb is a sweet blogger who loves a good vintage find as much as I do!
Please sit back, relax, and enjoy getting to know Deb better.
I live with my camera shy hubby in a 1955 walk-out rambler. We have done A LOT to "dress" it up since we moved in 10 years ago. We bought from the original owners :) We have put in new windows, siding, painted the entire inside of the house, new trim in some room and just last week, put in a new bathroom floor and painted the cabinet. We are DIY'ers!!! This is the living room which is a decorating challenge. It's long with open areas... The door you see above goes to the sun room.
This is the other end of the living room.
Galley kitchen and very small dining/eating area. The wall on the left goes into the sun room. I'm hoping to take the wall down and make a huge eating area and a breakfast bar where the dining table is now..."someday".... My decorating style is all over the place. Hubby loves Victorian...me, not so much.
One of my hobbies is card making. I love paper!!! I have been making cards for MANY years. Blogging has helped me "expand" my ideas. I have done many swaps because of being a blogger. I have met a handful of bloggers who are my friends! I never thought blogging would be so rewarding!
I'm a girly girl. I have been a "beauty" consultant, real estate agent, worked retail for many years and now sell "antiques" at 2 shops.I have been selling antiques for 20 years. Hubby and I go to estate sales for most of our treasures. We could write a book about that!
I have tattoo's! I KNOW!! I have 3 roses on my right wrist and a frog on my left ankle :) I got my first tattoo, the rose when I was 40!! I am the oldest of 3 girls.
Thank you, Susan for letting me be a guest on your blog! That was so sweet of you to ask me to share about myself.
warmly,
deb
Thanks so much for sharing with us, Deb! Fun to find out that you have tatoos-lol! :)
Please visit her at Garage Sale Gal then head over to Kris's blog to read about Danni from Silo Hill Farm.
Have a fantastic day!

Hugs to you both and best wishes from (rainy) Lower Austria,
Traude
